Rotterdam – People Make The Inner City

The publication has been prepared by the Municipality of Rotterdam and a group of architects and developers, to be presented at International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam IABR – 2012 – Making City. The publication concentrates on the sustainable densification of Rotterdam’s inner city. The authors face the problem of the increasing population by proposing densification and greenification strategies which lead to a sustainable city model. Seven densification and seven greenification strategies are presented and supported by the collected data from inhabitants, entrepreneurs and specialists and existing projects in the city.
